Play an instrument and know a colleague at work who plays another? Form a band and

learn two songs and you could win a paid performance on stage at BLINK ® , professional

coaching for your band, studio time, Cincinnati Music Festival passes, arts tickets and

more. That’s what’s in store with ArtsWave CincyJams, the Cincinnati region’s newest

Battle of the Bands competition.

CincyJams, presented by Accenture and emceed by 100.3’s Don Juan Fasho, is a

unique take on a Battle of the Bands. Employee bands from local companies will

compete on May 19 at The Hard Rock Casino. All genres are welcome, and admission

to the concert is completely free. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and

acquaintances. The more the merrier — especially since the audience will play a role in

choosing winners.

Competing bands stand to win huge prizes. The “Fan Favorite” band will land a

performance at BLINK ® 2022, illuminated by ArtsWave. The family of funk legend

Bootsy Collins, a longtime Cincy arts supporter through the Bootsy Collins Foundation,

will offer a coaching session to the winner, covering everything from musical coaching,

voice projection, appearance and audience engagement. They’ll have a second session

with Drew Lachey, member of 98 Degrees and founder of Lachey Arts. Afterwards, the

winning band will get studio time with Cincinnati Music Accelerator to produce a vinyl

record with their winning music.

The “Fund Favorite” will also have the chance to play up on stage at BLINK ® , and their

band members and friends will receive passes to this year’s Cincinnati Music Festival,

with headliners Charlie Wilson and Janet Jackson.

Don’t play an instrument? Mark your calendar to come! Net proceeds will help support

more than 150 arts and cultural projects and organizations throughout the Cincinnati

region. The annual ArtsWave Campaign is underway now, and if you haven’t had a

chance yet, you can pitch in at artswave.org/give.

CincyJams drops May 19. Click here to learn more. Registration ends May 1, so visit

artswave.org/cincyjams to let us know if you and your coworkers want to play! BLINK is a trademark of the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr.,/U.S. Bank Foundation exclusively licensed by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
