You’re Invited: Jazzmeia Horn Concert & Exclusive Reception

ArtsWave’s Circle of African American Leaders for the Arts invites all members of Black Achievers to an exclusive pre-show reception, plus BOGO ticket offer to Jazzmeia Horn’s April 2 performance. When you buy a ticket to the concert and use the promo code CIRCLE, we’ll give you another ticket on us and add your and your guest’s name to the reception guest list. Network with local community leaders at Fifth Third Bank’s Greg D. Carmichael Atrium, then head across the street to the Aronoff Center to see why The New York Times describes Jazzmeia Horn “among the most exciting young vocalists in jazz.”

Jazzmeia Horn is an artistic force. She’s a vocalist, songwriter, mother, teacher, Grammy nominee and NAACP Outstanding Image Award winner, all in one. She’ll perform songs from her latest album “Dear Love,” hours before the 2022 Grammy Awards, where it’s nominated for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. “Dear Love” is also one of the first times since 1930s that a Black female vocalist has written and fronted a big band album in its entirety.

This concert is part of Flow, an African American Arts Experience, presented by ArtsWave. With support from area businesses, foundations and individuals, Flow offers quarterly performances by renowned Black artists and ensembles. It’s purposefully designed to attract a diverse, culturally adventurous audience and elevate appreciation for artists of color. This makes Flow a key strategy as part of “Lifting as We Learn,” ArtsWave’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access plan. One of the “Lifting as We Learn” plan’s key outcomes is to build audiences for the arts that reflect the region we serve. Get your tickets to see Jazzmeia Horn at artswave.org/jazz and use ticket promo code CIRCLE.

Jazzmeia’s upcoming concerts, the Flow series and the arts sector-wide DEIA efforts are all possible in part thanks to the tens of thousands of individuals and hundreds of companies that give to the ArtsWave Campaign. The 2022 Community Campaign is underway now, and your gift will help support 150+ projects and cultural organizations that will fuel our region’s rebound. Please consider making a gift to ArtsWave at artswave.org/give.
